Welcome to our choir blog!

The St. Anthony Campus Children’s Choir is made up of students in grades 3-5 from St. Anthony and Our Lady of Guadalupe Schools. This year there are 69 children signed up for choir! This choir is a non-auditioned group – anyone who likes to sing and wants to join is welcome! The choir sings many different styles of music as well as sacred pieces. They sing unison songs as well as 2-3 part harmony. They began their rehearsals on October 15th. The choir rehearses on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8-8:30. The choir is directed by Teresa A. Koch.

What an amazing group of young singers I have the pleasure to work with! I love to listen to them sing. They make my job so easy! We are currently working on 2-part Christmas songs as well as the National Anthem and other music. We also spend the beginning of each rehearsal warming up our voices with various enunciation exercises and vocal warm ups.

This blog will give me an opportunity to let readers know any updates or observations about the choir in the future. Dates that we will be singing will appear here. (This blog will not take the place of letters and permission forms.) I also hope to eventually be able to add audio clips.

Mrs. Koch
